Ten on Tuesday (vol. 5)

It’s Tuesday…the Biggest Loser season 8 finale is tonight. I’m too excited about that. I also know that I’ll have to avoid social media until I can actually watch the episode Wednesday night. Anyway, Tuesday also means Chelsea’s Ten on Tuesday. Head to Roots and Rings and check out everyone else’s answers to Ten on Tuesday!

1. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
We went to see Jason Mraz at the Maimarkt in Mannheim this past March. It was one of the best live shows I have ever been to. He is an exceptionally talented musician and entertainer. I would love to go see him again, but he doesn’t currently have any shows coming up (ok, he has one in NYC, but that’s it).

2. Is it easy to make you cry?
It depends on the reason for crying. I cry easily at movies and some TV shows, but I don’t typically cry if I get my feelings hurt. I sometimes cry out of frustration. Overall, though, I think I cry far less than I did 5 years ago.

3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
Yes. This is a frequent feeling for us in the military, especially since John is enlisted. People place you into boxes. Many think that because he’s enlisted, he’s also stupid and incapable of making responsible decisions. With my job, people often assume I’m a secretary, which I assure you I am not. However, I get treated as such and often people are surprised to find out I have a Master’s degree. (People also think I’m much younger than I am, which is frustrating when people in the workplace refer to me as “a baby” or “too young to understand.” Ugh. Really, people?)

4. Name 7 completely random things that you like:
Take 5 candy bars, singing in the rain, stargazing, game nights, cuddling with my husband and puppy, traveling and learning languages

5. What’s your favorite reality TV show and why?
The Biggest Loser – It’s entertaining, does good for the community and often, the drama isn’t scandalous like some other reality TV shows. The Amazing Race comes in a close second.

6. What is your favorite hair care product?
I like my smoothing serum (I think that’s what it’s called) by Matrix and my Chi Heat Guard.

7. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Either Defying Gravity from Wicked or either Oh Love Divine or Amos Story by Aaron Ivey

8. What’s the number one thing on your Christmas wishlist?
Honestly, it doesn’t matter. I’m just thankful to spend it with my husband and some of my family.

9. Have you ever lost your cell phone?
I don’t think so, but I dropped it in a cup of water once.
Story: I was driving someone else’s car, and I always put my cell phone in the center console cup holder. Unfortunately, they kept a glass of water in their cup holder. The two didn’t mix.

10. Did you attack the hordes of shoppers for Black Friday?
No. We like to get our shopping done early. Besides, that madness is not what Christmas is about.

A cup of water in the cupholder??? Bizarre, and totally understandable that you tanked your cell!

Great answers! I agree with you on Black Friday – that madness is definitely NOT what Christmas is about. Someone was actually shot at our local Wal-Mart. It’s unbelieveable.

I always put my cell phone in the cupholder, too. I would have made the same mistake!

Jason Mraz is AMAZING! I first discovered him about 7 years ago and have been to 5 of his shows over the years. He comes to Texas a lot, so you’ll probably be able to catch some of his shows when you move back 🙂
